You can see which part of this tooth was exposed to the fast moving winds of the desert.  Its illegal to export teeth out of Peru so none of the locals waste their time, energy, or money to stay for days out in the desert to look for these teeth...but yet when the teeth are finally exposed, the wind picks up the desert sand and blasts these teeth just like a sand blaster would anything else and the teeth are quickly destroyed.  Government Stupidity at its highest level.
